Natalia Palacio

As Founder and CEO of Esseinsu, Natalia drives impactful sustainable transformations for clients through strategy-driven insights and value-innovation strategies. With expertise in sustainability and a business-oriented background, she is committed to advancing eco-conception of products and sustainability growth strategies.

Prior to founding Esseinsu, Natalia worked at Accenture, contributing to a company-wide emission reduction strategy, participating in the launch of the Circular Economy Handbook, and supporting projects such as the integration of eco-initiatives in an Innovation Hub. Her experience extends to serving as Sustainability Consultant at BSD and as Corporate Social Responsibility Administrator at Millicom, as well as being both GRI G4 and LEED GA certified.

At Esseinsu, Natalia goes beyond operational responsibilities to oversee projects and work directly with clients to ensure strategies result in differentiation while meeting business and sustainability requirements.

  • With a unique blend of engineering expertise and a Master's focused on the environmental transition of the fashion, luxury, and materials industry, Nicolas possesses a deep understanding of sustainable practices within these sectors.

    Prior to joining our team, Nicolas worked as Sustainability Manager at JEM, a luxury jewelry brand, where he conducted comprehensive life cycle assessments, spearheaded circular initiatives, and ensured ethical sourcing practices. Afterwards, at Climate Chance, he assessed and managed climate-related risks for fashion brands and provided invaluable support in crafting carbon, water, and circular strategies for them.

    Now, as part of our team, Nicolas utilizes his valuable experience and expertise to support sustainable transformations for our clients, leveraging his data-driven insights and design thinking approach, to ensure the integration of sustainable practices throughout their operations. Nicolas collaborates closely with clients, guiding them through the implementation process and continuously evaluating their progress towards their sustainability goals.

  • With over 12 years of experience, Juliana has accompanied and advised various business and social organizations in strategic thinking, in design of corporate responsibility and sustainability, and evaluation and management of social projects. Some of her past experience includes working with multinational agribusiness corporation, Manuelita, as well as working with the renowned luxury designer, Johanna Ortiz.

    Additionally, she is a Professor of Social Management, Ethics and Business Sustainability for the MBA and the Master's in Management for Social Innovation at ICESI University, where she also leads the Sustainability Observatory. Juliana also counts with the GRI G4 methodology certification.

    Through her strategic expertise, merged with her anthropological perspective and economic knowledge, Juliana provides exceptional value in creating conversations that lead to profound insights and strategies rooted in sustainability but most importantly, in business-wide alignment.

  • William has a diverse background in International and Environmental Studies, enabling him to quickly grasp connections between global business issues and environmental sustainability.

    With experience and a deep understanding of ESG, combined with strong critical and strategic thinking, William has successfully helped develop sustainable strategies.

    He assesses environmental impact, identifies areas for improvement, and provides guidance on sustainable practices that align with economic goals. Committed to environmental stewardship, William also actively promotes social sustainability in his own community.

  • Sahika, a dynamic sophomore at Rutgers University majoring in Economics with a minor in Business Administration, brings a wealth of experience in the vibrant world of product-based industries.

    An extraordinary accomplishment for Sahika was her distinction as a U.S National Semifinalist in the prestigious KPMG Ideation Challenge 2022-23. This remarkable achievement showcases her exceptional talent for generating innovative ideas and proposing solutions, particularly in high-pressure and competitive environments.

    Equipped with a diverse skill set and a solid academic foundation, Sahika is fueled by a contagious enthusiasm to apply her strategic consulting and finance expertise to the realms of creativity and fashion. She ardently believes in making a positive impact through her work at our Esseinsu, by actively seeking collaborative opportunities to explore fresh ideas and experience-driven changes for our clients.
